Life has taken a decidedly downward turn ever since my return to Idaho. This always happens, though. I go home and have fun, and then I come back to dreary Northern Idaho and get depressed and sleep a lot. That's not all, though... when I'm on the east coast (Philly, but NYC especially) I enjoy who i am a whole lot more. I act differently, and I like this person. I like the East Coast Me much better than the Idaho Me.

I figured it was because of a few reasons, but mostly because I act differently in the presence of different friends. When I'm with my Idaho friends, I annoy myself. When I'm with my East Coast friends, I feel much more friendly and happy and more open. More free. I've decided to try and change how I act here in Idaho, but it will take a conscious effort. And I'm terrible at remembering to do things like that, so we'll see how it goes.

In other news, I now have a baby niece, thanks to my big brother Scott and his wife, Karen. Her name is Sydney Rose. It's my first niece, and it's about time, since I already have five nephews.

It should be noted that before she was born, Sydney's nickname was Serpy, for reasons I can't remember. Not because she resembled a serpent during ultrasound, though.
