A Plea for a Happy Book
2004-02-27 - 11:13 AM

in the desperate need for money, i finally got up at the ungodly hour of 5am and dragged my ass to Labor Ready. i sat around for hours until i got assigned to a job. tonight i will be a temporary busboy for the Coeur d'Alene Casino. yay.

Danny and Tom (my loyal and illustrious roommates) may go see the jesus movie, and if i wasn't working i'd probably go with them. but since i am working, i'm not too disappointed at missing out on jesus pain. just as long as they don't see Club Dread without me.

Finished reading In A Sunburned Country, The Suicide Club, and The Bell Jar. I'm really not in the mood to read Johnny Got His Gun right after The Bell Jar, but i don't have the money to be buying Stegall's The Brick. What to read, America?

I want something witty and non-depressing, so give me your suggestions. I'm looking for something in the vein of Syrup, He Died With A Felafel In His Hand, or Microserfs. But really, I'll take anything. If a book made you happy and laugh, please tell me about it.
