oh and i was walking (yes! walking! i'm so proud! my car breaking down is the BEST! seriously) and i saw this little girl playing on a lawn in front of her house. she was about two or three, and there wasn't an adult in sight. i would've been worried for her, but there was a wolfish german shepard-ish dog sitting on it's haunches a few feet from the little girl. it was protecting her. and as i walked by on the sidewalk, he kept his eye on me the entire time. like, "don't you even think of messin' with my baby girl." it was very cute.
