a secret message and the garbage goat 2003-04-03 - 5:44 PM so today i'm going to write about Riverfront Park in Spokane. it's a beautiful park, and probably the best part of an otherwise lame city. i'll start with the first statue. i was told about this statue by Elana, who is so cool but yet i haven't talked to her in forever. anyway, she told me that there's a statue in Riverfront Park that has a message at the top of it. i asked her what the message was, and she told me it's a SECRET message, and that only the people who climb the statue can know what it is. since i was going to riverfront park the next day, i asked what it looked like, this statue. and she couldn't really describe it except to say that it was tall. so that really got me itchin' to find out the secret message. but i couldn't find a climbable tower-like statue that day. but last weekend, almost a year later, i found it. i climbed the statue, and i found out the secret message, and it's totally worth climbing the statue to find out the message. the statue is kind of close to the red wagon, and it's cement, and it's easily climbable, but tall enough that you'd probably get in trouble if a cop found you climbing it. if you're ever in spokane, climb it and find out the secret message. but don't tell anyone what it is! it's only know to those who climb the statue. i wrote to joanna about the other really cool thing in riverpark square: riverpark square is in spokane and it's really beautiful and just a wonderful park in general. but what makes it king is the goat statue. the goat statue is, well, a goat statue. pretty much just a statue that is the exact size and shape of a goat. right. but if you hold up some garbage to it's mouth, it "eats" the garbage by sucking it up, due to a huge vacuum thingie that is inside the goat. it also will eat leaves or anything that will fit in it's mouth pretty much. just like a real goat.
