dishwashing songs 2003-05-21 - 6:58 PM so i started work as a dishwasher. today i tried to sing, "I'm Finding It Harder To Be A Gentleman" by the White Stripes, which i think is a very dishwasherly song to sing. i couldn't remember all the words, though, so i have to go home tonight and memorize them. i also sang "I Want To Be the Boy to Warm Your Mother's Heart" but again, I couldn't remember all the words. I also sang "You're Pretty Good Looking (For A Girl)." But really, I think "Gentleman" is the dishwasher's song. it's what I'm looking for. I just finished the book, "The Anomalies" by Joey Goebel. It's about a sex-crazed 80 year old woman, a destructive 8 year old girl, a 24 year old crazy ghetto guy, a 40-something iraqi, and a 19 year old satan worshipping girl who get together and form a band. it rocked like no tomorrow. it's a book that makes you want to fuck shit up. god. what a literary review. "rocked like no tomorrow." "fuck shit up." but yeah. that's how it is. no no no wait, it actually rocked me like a hurricane. yes. there you go. anyway. here's a fun trivia fact about me: lately, instead of waving goodbye to people (or even saying "goodbye!"), i give a little half-hearted salute. usually two fingers, not all four. if you want to be cool like me, you'd do it too.
