i saw dreamcatcher based pretty much on this review by the guy at catchdubs. and then there was the fact that my friend sean actually wanted to see it because he thought it would be a good movie. don't blame him. he's missing some part of his brain that can tell if a movie is good or not. i mean, he wants to see The Core. and he's a very smart guy, otherwise.

anyway. i remember when they first started showing the Dreamcatcher previews, and my friend Ben would conclude, "okay, i just saw the preview and i still have NO IDEA what that movie is about." pretty much all we knew was that we didn't want to see it. which i think are the exact opposite feelings a preview is supposed to leave you with.

everything the catchdubs guy says is true. and the "final flight of the osiris" animatrix was awesome, and if you want to see it on the big screen, it's definitely worth it to buy a ticket and then leave after the animatrix is over. that's probably what warner brothers is hoping you'll do, since dreamcatcher is such an obvious flop.

the guys behind me in the theater were eating fast food and drinking beers. i was pissed off about it at first, but now i think it was very very smart to get drunk while seeing dreamcatcher.

also, the catchdubs review mentions that it's NOT "so bad, it's good." i didn't believe him for some reason, but he's totally right. it was so bad, it's painful. don't see it, ever.

although sean liked it.
